Only used for approx 7 or 8 track days on my 430 Cup - minimal road miles other than to/from each circuit (I routinely changed back to my OEM exhaust between track days to enjoy the OEM noise). Great condition. Was supplied with carbon tips but these have been swapped to new stainless tips. Carbons are probably still available from 2Bular if the buyer prefers. Also comes with extension cans in case needed for super-strict circuits. I’ve only needed to fit them once - at Bedford. Cost over £2k new. Asking £1,250 which I think is fair given the relatively limited use.

Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself as I'm sure I'll be joining a few lotus events during the calender. Ive been in the market for a lotus for the past few years and unfortunately didn't bite the bullet on previous lotus cars. Finally last week I plucked up the courage and purchased in my opinion a good example. Exige 430 cup Metallic grey Current mileage 8.7miles 1st owner Located in South East of London I've yet to see any lotus cars as they seem to rare as hens teeth which is a good thing, I look forward to my lotus journey and meeting you all someday soon

Hi Guys, Reviewing insurance again and some want a tracker. Who here has fitted a tracker and what did you choose? I have always been hesitant due to power draw and just having a third-party work on my car. So, who went for what and how is it? Thx JC

Gentlemen Welcome to the 2019 attempt to arrange a get together. Last night we decided on Tuesday 22nd as the date to meet and the location is to be Stockbridge. May I suggest the Three Cups pub on the High Street? http://www.the3cups.co.uk/ There may be a car park behind it, but there is plenty of parking on the High Street. I hope that Stockbridge is fairly safe for on street parking!

I don’t think we’ve started a proper thread on this situation yet. What do you lot think will happen? Seems to me that one of Putin’s main “demands” is that Ukraine never joins NATO so that he can keep that geographical buffer, but that the Ukrainian Constitution has been changed since Russia annexed the Crimea to make NATO accession one of Ukraine’s political aims. Of course, there is presumably no chance of Ukraine itself ever ruling out achieving NATO membership, so Putin can make the decision for them by invading Ukraine and absorbing it back into an old style Soviet Union. That would mean a relatively quick and permanent end to Ukraine’s NATO ambitions. He knows it’s…

Hi Everyone I have a few questions. I have replaced many timing belts on various Lotus cars using the 900 series engine including S4s, S3 HC Turbo, S2 etc however this S3 G ar is giving me a real head ache. The car has been off road for many years I cut the original timing belt off as it was in a bad way. I ordered a new Gates belt 5146 however I received a Blue Gates RPM T104RB belt which was supposed to be an upgrade as they had no standard belts in stock. 1) Has anyone fitted one of these blue belts? If so was there any problem getting the timing to be correct? 2) Is one tooth on the crank pulley equal to 10 degrees? 3) Can anyone provide a photo of thei…

Tailgate struts 1 2
by DrRick- 36 replies

So, my late 2009 Evora is struggling to get its end up. And by that I mean the tailgate struts are struggling to hold up the tailgate when I open the back end to access the boot. I presume the seals inside have given up as there's no external leaking, just a lack of stiffness in holding up the body panel. i know from Deroure, the part number is C132B0058F, and that I need 2 and they start at £20 each. However, is there an alternative part that Lotus has just snaffled from a parts bin that is cheaper, or not? Also, has anyone else had this issue and had to swap them out?

AiM have just launched a specific plug-and-play dash and binnacle / GPS logger/laptimer combo for 2011 onwards Lotus (Elise and Exige) https://aim-sportline.com/en/products/plug-and-play/mx2e/index.htm I've definitely been impressed with their Solo2DL datalogger in my Cup (which this would render redundant), and was tentatively looking at dashes. This is mighty tempting.

My wife has just been scammed out of ~1500USD - despite me telling her to stop when they asked her for 500USD. If she had stopped she would have been 150-200USD up. I have the info as to the where and how - plus active WhatsApp details, website etc., and I've got the equipment (new SIM etc.) to get to the ~200USD point, but not sure how to proceed. Don't want to go into any further detail on an open forum, so if you are interested in helping, add your name here and we can take it offline.

LOTUS EVORA V6 S 4 2011 Stunning Pearl White Evora with just 52,500 miles so averaging just over 4,000 a year and the condition reflect this. 2011 “S” Registered in January of 2011. This car also benefits from the plus 2 variant, and i have used it with my 11 month old, he loves it! The history is superb with a significant amount of invoices with the car, major works including the all important gearbox and clutch replacements, carried out in 2018 and 2019 at Lotus main dealer so there are no worries or concerns that these will need doing again for a long time, which was a main contributor to me buying this car. The interior is finished in the red leather Recaro seats in…

Being as though there's a fair amount of doom & gloom around at the moment how about focusing on the little things in life that make it better. Did you find a penny in the street, perhaps your daughter got an A in school today, maybe the other half cooked you a nice dinner, perhaps the sun shone for you today, did you finally finish that project for and get the boss off your back or maybe you just feel thankful you've got a roof over your head and food in your belly! I'm happy today because I handed my notice in at work on Monday and I've been able to tell lots more people about it today!

Does anybody know what this plug is? Car is a 1991 esprit turbo se. It’s situated behind the ecu in the right hand quarter light panel by the loom disconnects for removing the boot floor.

Good evening gents, hoping for some guidance. went out for a quick pootle in the Esprit this evening.. everything seemed okay until it wasn’t!! basically after about 15mins the car lost loads of power… limped her back to the house. checked that the spark plugs and leads were working. Everything seemed okay in that sense but if I pull the leads off cylinders 1 & 4 the car stalls. If I pull the leads off 2 & 3 it makes no difference to the idling. is there a commonality with the injection system on 2&3? any thoughts?? cheers Mark

I’m looking at getting some copies of the original badges fitted on the centre console just below the clock for the Eclat 2.2 and Elite 2.2. These would be in the original overlapping Lotus outline typeface. I think the cost should be in the region of £15 each. Please let me know if interested

Horn relay
by Hal- 11 replies

Good afternoon will someone kindly tell me where is exactly the horn relay in 2017 Evora please? I had to use my horn yesterday, snd it stuck ‘on’! Then after half a minute, it stopped but there is a lot of noise coming from the passenger (lhd..)foot well. And the horn is being activated in small stabs. itried pulling each visible relay, but could not stop the noise! I pulled fuse C1 and this stopped the noise, but I am worried that I cannot find the relay. thanks!
